Currently a PhD scholar at Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Programme (TRIPP), IIT Delhi, Amit Kumar is an urban planner registered with the Institute of Town Planning, India. He is also a registered architect with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, India. After an undergraduate degree in Architecture, he moved to Bengaluru to join the RV College of Architecture as an Assistant Professor. Having served the position for 15 months, he then joined the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee to pursue a Post-graduate degree in Urban and Rural Planning.

Apart from the professional qualifications, Amit is a blogger, a poet and an artists. He takes keen interests in politics, social and community interests and Global sustainability issues.
